1. Creating Email Addresses
If you are on the Home Screen, Tap on DodoMail OR go to the Dodoname Tab. Tap “Create a New Dodoname”. You can use this email address in place of your regular email. For instance, you use this email address when a sales clerk asks for your email address. Tip: Create a new email address while you’re waiting in line for your purchase. Tap “Create Another Dodoname” any time you need to give out an email address. (You must create a new email address each time you want to give one out).
2. Managing Email Addresses
If you are on the Home Screen, Tap on DodoMail OR go to the Dodoname Tab. Tap on Manage Dodonames (top right hand corner). Here you will see a list of all the email addresses you’ve created. Use the Active and Inactive buttons at the top of the screen to toggle between the two lists. Tap on a row to see the details for that email address. From the detail screen, you can tap Edit to enter or modify a description or to change the active or inactive status. If you would like to fine tune the list of allowed senders, you must use the Dodoname web app.
3. Viewing Emails
If you are on the Home Screen, Tap on DodoMail OR go to the Dodoname Tab. Tap on Inbox. Here you will see all your emails. You do not need to remember which email address you gave to a sender. They will appear in one place for you to read. Tap on an email. The full content of the email will open and you can even mark it as a favourite or label it.
4. Favouriting Emails
Open the email. Once you have opened the details of the email, you will see an empty heart icon in the header of the email. Tap on the heart to add and remove it from Favorites. A red heart means that it is marked as a favorite.
5. Deleting Emails
Open the email.Once you have opened the details of the email, you will see a trash icon at the bottom of the screen. Tap on the trash icon to move the email to the trash.
6. Emails Don’t Arrive
Ensure that you Created the email address before giving it out. Email addresses must be created before they can be used. Check the Pending folder. Sometimes emails are sent from a sender other than the initial sender. These emails will appear in your Pending folder. Give it a bit more time. Sometimes it can take some time to arrive.
